David serves as Lea+Elliott’s President and CEO. He directs company operations, supports national and international client and teaming partner engagements, and brings senior-level expertise in automated transit technologies and feasibility assessments.
David is one of Lea+Elliott’s leading airport mobility, planning specialists, with deep knowledge gained from worldwide analysis and benchmarking of urban and airport mobility projects, giving him a comprehensive understanding of both historical and emerging automated transit technologies. David was the lead author of ACRP Report 37 – Planning and Implementing APM systems at Airports. He is active in key professional organizations including APTA, ACI, and ACC.
David began his career in construction management before receiving his Masters in Transportation Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
