With over 30 years of extensive experience in the automated transit industry, Mark specializes in Integrated Transit Systems design, Automatic Train Control (ATC) and Safety Assurance/Safety Certification. Mark plays a crucial role in integrating APM and mass transit subsystems including vehicles, power distribution, trackwork, platform doors, train control, and communications into fixed facility and superstructure designs. His experience includes the entire project lifecycle including the planning and procurement, design, manufacturing, construction and installation, testing, operational readiness, safety certification and O&M. His comprehensive understanding and hands-on approach both contribute significantly to the success of our automated transit projects.

- If we went to happy hour, what would you order? Scotch Whiskey…the first drink of alcohol that I remember having was a small shot glass of whiskey at my grandfather’s house on Christmas Eve. I guess it stuck with me.
- What do you think are the best skills that you bring to your job? While it is not so much a skill set, I think the most beneficial trait that I bring to the job is my positive attitude. Over thirty years ago, a mentor at Westinghouse Transportation told me, “There’s no reason this can’t be fun.” I have always tried to remember that.
