ATLANTA, GA

 

Senior Professional Staff:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises and coordinates the activities of resources (i.e. staff/consultants);

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining day-to-day contact with existing and potential clients in the Atlanta area;

  • Responsible for adhering to and maintaining project budgets and schedules;

  • Lead technical and engineering activities

  • Assures that engineering and planning services are commensurate with professional standards, contract and client requirements, quality control and project objectives.

  • Identify potential project opportunities and support Business Development activities in the Atlanta area.

  • Some travel is required

 

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering from an accredited college or university;

  • Georgia PE License or ability to obtain through reciprocation;

  • 10+ years of progressively responsible management experience in the design and construction of rail/transit projects in all project development phases: planning, preliminary engineering, final engineering, construction management, testing and operations start up. Automatic People Mover experience is desirable;

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, self-starting, motivated, independent, entrepreneurial.

 

Mid-Level Professional Staff:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Individual(s) will participate in technical execution of project work activities and support the Project Manager as directed.

  • Some travel may be required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited university.

  • 2+ years of engineering experience in design activities.

  • Computer and ACAD skills, with a firm grasp of technical principles.

  • PE registration or ability to obtain same is a plus.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE/PAYROLL TECHNICIAN

Dulles, VA

 

Lea+Elliott, a transportation firm in the Washington D.C. area, is looking for an accounts payable/payroll technician. Our office located on Dulles Airport is accessible by public transportation. Job responsibilities will include:

 

  • Processing accounts payable

  • Processing invoices and check requests

  • Prepare daily deposits

  • Managing payroll (maintaining payroll information, updating records)

  • Limited HR Administration

  • Office admin (supporting front desk, answering phones)

 

The successful applicant will possess a high school diploma and 2 years of related accounting or HR experience; will demonstrate proficiency in the use of MS Excel and MS Word; ability to utilize standard office equipment. Proficiency using Solomon a plus. Candidate must be detail-oriented and possess strong organizational ability.

COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEER

Dulles, VA

Lea+Elliott, Inc. seeks Communications Engineer for assignment in Dulles, VA. Successful candidate will have a degree in engineering and seven to 12 years of experience with Communications subsystems. P.E. license or ability to obtain same will be a plus. Candidate will be familiar with or have design experience with some or all of the following:

  • video and audio surveillance systems;

  • communications networks (Ethernet, SONET, PLC), hardwired and wireless;

  • SCADA;

  • telephone networks;

  • public address systems;

  • radio system design; and

  • PLC system design.

Business Development Coordinator/Engineer

San Francisco, CA

 

Lea+Elliott is looking for a business development coordinator/engineer to aid in the company's business development activities in the western United States. Transit experience and/or an engineering degree is a plus. We need someone to work with us on tracking projects, promoting the company, writing proposals, etc. The successful candidate will need to learn about what we do (in detail) so they can write and talk about it. In promoting our company and working with potential clients there will likely be times (and opportunities) that the successful candidate will be able to perform some project work. When clients meet people during the marketing phase many times they want/like that person to continue for a bit.
